Fred Simon Group at S.P.A.C.E. 7/29/10

CALLING ALL FREDHEADS!

Are you suffering from low levels of Fred? Could you use some extra Fred to help you get through the week? Do you just simply need more Fred in your life? Well, who doesn't!

And now, here's your chance ... for the first time, S.P.A.C.E. in Evanston presents the Fred Simon Group next Thursday, July 29, 2010, at 8PM.

As this is the very first time my group will be playing at S.P.A.C.E., which is one of the absolute best listening rooms anywhere (with a fantastic piano!), and as I know we'd all like for there to be many more gigs in the future, I really hope that every single one of you (or even one out of every two or three of you) will come down to hear some of the most excellent musicians around help me bring the music to life. We'll play tunes from my most recent album, SINCE FOREVER (CDs available at the gig if you crave one), as well as some brand new tunes, and an old favorite or two.

Bassist-extraordinaire Larry Gray shares the bill, starting at 8 PM with his excellent trio; Fred Simon Group goes on afterward.

Please get down!

Your fred,
Fred

Fred,

Thanks for the invitation. I would have gladly come to hear your quintet but unfortunately I have a prior commitment for that Thursday night (a Steppenwolf Theatre play). I will try to make it next time.

Thanks, Haim ... hopefully next time. This is just the first of more to come.

By the way, did you see THIS TRAIN at Steppenwolf? My friend John Rice was playing guitar. Wish I could have seen it.

All the best,
Fred

Fred,

I saw a new play by Bruce Norris called "A Parallelogram" about a woman who can see into the future but still cannot salvage her relationships with men. Believe me, I would have been much happier listening to your piano instead.
