Letting loose SWMBO at the dealer's unaccompanied (or: what have I done?!)

Posted by: JWM on 14 August 2008

My nearest dealer, Signals, is 65 miles away (also handy for my Mother-in-Law's...Big Grin). In the current economic climate, to save money on fuel by doubling up journeys, I asked Mrs JWM who's that way anyway to collect my faithful old Marantz 2238b receiver from its service, and to have my cdp Burndy plugs tightened whilst there.

It has now occurred to me what I have done Eek -- let SWMBO loose unaccompanied at the dealer's!! What have I done??!!! Eek

Fortunately, I remember that nothing at Signals carries a price tag. Phew.

Unfortunately, I also remember that if you have to ask the price of something, you can't possibly afford it... Roll Eyes

Do I... (a) leave home now; or (b) buy a bunch of petrol station chrysanths, put a maths book down the back of my trousers, and hope for the best???

You may need to have a little word with your employer, James!

Ah, one of the great pleasures of being 'home alone'!

There are others, but I'll not speak their name here!
