Hi,

This is one of my favourite albums but for some reason my CD has always sounds really labored and murky compared to my LP, even on a CD5x versus a Rega P3. This isnt about CD vs LP but rather the mastering on the CD. Does anyone know if there are different masterings I can look for?

There is the original, enhanced and the remaster. Depends on your taste.

I've always liked this CD and agree the production can sound rather closed in (which does work well on some tracks though). It's one of those albums that is a useful reference as each system upgrade has made it more enjoyable.

Remastered version is a big improvement imo.
