Innovation - iPad

Been playing with an iPad - interesting bit of kit. Be nice if someone (Naim?) could craft an app to turn it into a great browser/controller for distributed audio. Size would make it a better platform to organise and visualise music...know there is Naim app for the iPhone (don't have one - but may not be able resist...).

There is an ipad app for Naim -- I saw it a week or so ago at the Cedia show.

Looked interesting, but I have some significant reservations about the way it is doing data caching. Hopefully this will be resolved by the time it is finished.

They (Naim) have ... well one on the way - to control the NaimNet system. Have to wait and see how it relates to HDX and UnitiServe.

An iPad app sounds good - iphone apps tend not to make full use of the iPad's potential

Looking forward to seeing the app for the i pad, i use the i pod touch app at the moment but there are still one or two things it will not do, radomly playing tracks is still not resolved although i am told this is being worked on, hopefully when released the i pad app will have solved this.

I was told they are just waiting for Apple verification than release after the summer.

From submission to release takes no more than 7 days for over 90% of apps.

My contact at Apple indicated today that they are swamped at the moment, post iOS4 rollout (including backwards compatibility testing against existing iPad OS version).
