Red Dwarf Film

Hi all, some time ago it was announced that a film version of the tv series was to happen but has it now been abandoned? The two sites I have found refer to it but there is no mention on it actually ever having got off the ground or why not if it did'nt or isn't going to be made. Any info out there? ps Happy Xmas etc

If this takes as long as HHGTTG to make, don't hold your breath.

I read somewhere, probably the Red Dwarf Web Site that they thought they had funding a couple of times only to have it fall through. They had got to the stage of a 'read through' and had selected some locations in Oz but that was about it. Hopefully they will come up with another series because I for one thought it was getting better and better, especially with the return of 'Holly'....

I hope you are right Andy for the comedy shows now available on the tv is absolutly dire. I have always been an avid watcher of Red Dwarf, Black Adder, Dads Army, Cheers, Frazier, Mash, One foot etc etc but since the demise of RD I have to do with re runs of old sitcoms on Sky. Still with little to occupy the little grey cells I have more time to listen to music but occasionally one has to switch off even doing that. My main hobby is brass banding and I have to attend rehearsals twice a week and practice virtually every day (I play in a top class outfit and one has too keep at it to maintain standards particulary at our level) so music is a major part of my life and so is my music system but I have to have some relief and sitcoms have always been my passion but as to what they offer us now is about as funny as a broken neck.
