Quadraspire Ref setup

Hello

I just bought a used Quadraspire Ref rack, but I need to know if the setup was done correctly.
They provide small dividing rings that go between shelves, but these keep the shelves from being held tightly, is this their intetion.

Yes. The rings are designed to prevent the shelves from touching each other.

Do not overtighten the rods.

Oh dear!

All is not lost; the first few attempts at setup are always improved upon and the music then sounds better as a result.
