Good evening, just a quick question. When the HDX is full will it rip CD's onto a seperate NAS drive or would you have to rip the CD onto the NAS using you PC etc?

With the latest firmware, you can rip directly to the NAS. You define a 'Music Store' on the NAS, and then you simply make that the target for the ripping.
The Music Stores have a priority which you can set, so if one is unavailable (e.g. 'full'), then the next one in the list takes over.
You can also move music between stores if that takes your fancy
