Who could be the new singer?...............

What a shame that Paul Rodgers is committed with that awful Queen thing. To be honest, how can you have LZ without Plant?

Sorry but I wouldn't go and see them without Plant.

They could follow in the footsteps of Blackmore's Night and get a nice female vocalist - how about Rachel Unthank, but I'd like them to do her songs :-)

feel the same about the 'oo

I might go to a show with someone like Chris Cornell singing - or what about Chris Robinson - Page did that gig with the Black Crowes I kind of liked. Dont rate Chris Robinson like Chris Cornell tho.

But without Plant -- the magic(k) can not be summoned.

I would love to see Led Zeppelin with Robert Plant, but if that isn't going to happen, I am quite happy to see Page, Jones, with Jason Bonham and whoever.

Even if Plant had come back, it would not have been as good as them at their very best (25th May 1975, Earls Court, judging by the soundboard recordings).

The gig I most enjoyed was the Van Der Graaf Generator's first reunion gig in 2005, but I have seen them without David Jackson on sax, as a three piece, those gigs have been fantastic too.

It might be called Led Zeppelin, but it would be a new Led Zeppelin, a band is only the sum of those in it at the time. I will take it for what it is. It might be a sham, but it might be a pretty good band. I will give it a try and see what I think.

I also don't have a problem with age, VDGG were in their 50s when I saw them, Bowie on his tour after his 50th birthday had more energy than most shows I have seen. Miles Davis and Art Blakey both had more energy in their last tours than any band under you could find today.

Led Zeppelin without Bonzo is almost a sacrilge, but at least it is kin.Without Plant would be a travesty!

It wouldn't be the same without Plant whoever took his place. I wouldn't go.

Russell Brand after he's been sacked by the BBC.

Couldn't agree more with you.

This is ridiculous. When Page and Plant got back together in the 90s I saw them on both tours. By the time they got to the UK on the first tour the set was entirely Zeppelin material. They then recorded a new album together, and when they toured three years later the set was 4 new songs, and another whole lotta Zeppelin material. Yet they didn't call themselves Led Zep, so there was less hype.

They were stunning, by the way. Two of the best concerts I've ever been to, and I certainly didn't miss JPJ - no offence to the man, and I respect his contribution to their creative output, but you can fill in bass/keyboards with decent session musicians for live shows and not really miss the original - the same cannot be said for guitarists and singers. As for drummers, they were touring with one of the best, and as the original is no longer available to anyone that's as good as it can be.

What I'm saying is I believe those P&P tours were much, MUCH closer to Led Zep than any lineup without Plant. They should call themselves something else, even if they let it be known they are doing a Zeppelin set.

I think/hope this is still a ploy, that RP is calling their bluff, and that they'll call it off. Then maybe he'll agree to something smaller scale on his terms.

Terry reid would be good to see with them, he was a possibility to join led zep before plant joined back when zep was the yard birds in 69, but he turned it down, probably looking like a mistake in retrospect!

Now that WOULD be something to see, IMHO!!!! A concert from a parallel universe!
