One German comedian (not Schröder) amusingly remarked at the Live8 concert here yesterday at the Brandenburg Gate, that since the Yanks had invaded Iraq, they were now more unpopular than the Germans worldwide, so in fact had done them a favour, a point that went down fairly well actually, innit.
