A thread from a car forum I visit.

I couldn't stop chuckling at this. I hope a neighbour got this on video and puts it on youtube!
"Decided to give the car a much needed wash today, but it turned out to a bigger job than i thought.
First up i gave the wheels a soaking in bilbery wheel cleaner while i set up the hosepipe/jetwash,gave them a quick rub with a brush then attempted to rinse them off.Turned on the outside tap and nothing, the god damm hose pipe was frozen solid.Had to fill a bucket with hot water and dump the hosepipe in there to thaw out, after 30 mins or so it had thawed, hooked up the jetwash pressed the trigger and nothing.Seems the jetwash was also frozen, another full bucket of hot water(jet wash sat on top) another 30 mins went by during which the wheel cleaner had froze onto the wheels.Eventually got the jet wash working and rinsed the wheels, then moved onto washing the car,as i was drying the car off the water on the drive had frozen and i slid on my ass
The story doesn't end there though, after washing the car it sat on the drive for around five hours,i thought nothing of it and jumped into the car earlier to fill up,got to the end of my street pressed the brakes and they didn't work,as my car moved into the road i came to the conclusion that the water had froze onto the discs, after a few more dabs of the brakes they came back to normal.
Just a little warning for people washing their cars in these conditions,be careful."
