Hi.
I have a Nait5, CD5 and Flatcap2 and wish to use some headphones with the system. Of course, my initial search turned up the Headline. Has anyone used a headline in this system?
The issues specifically are:
1) Can the Nait5 be used with the headline (as I remember someone saying that the Nait3 cannot be used)?
2) Best supply options? (i.e. use one of the power o/ps of the flatcap2 that is currently used for the preamp/cd5, or getting a dedicated - cheaper - psu)?
3) Does anybody know whether a headline "dressed" up in the new 5-series colours will be appearing in the near future? (To allow for an aesthetically pleasing experience - )
Your thoughts/experiences on this would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Tim

I see nor reason why a Nait of any type cannot be used - the headline takes it's input from one of the tape output on the amp. A Nait 3 has two of these, a Nait 5 three, so any can be used.

I wouldn't downgrade your main system to add a Headline, add another PSU, either s/h or new. A Flatcap / Hicap, or even a SNAPS could be suitable.

Since Naim are unlikely to do two versions (one for 5 series, one for older style) I think it's unlikely, unless the existing kit is redesigned in the new style, which is unlikely in the short term.
