HDMI Cables for Freeview HD

Posted by: northpole on 14 November 2010

I suspect this will have been done to death in various threads so please be patient with me!

I recently bought a Humax HD Freeview recorder box which came with its own hdmi cable to connect to the tele (Pioneer LX5090 plasma).

So I am wondering if there is any consensus on this forum whether there is much to be gained in spending ££ on a more expensive cable - I'm convinced about the merits of eg hi-line interconnects for the stereo, no clue about hdmi.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Apparently there is zero difference, however I couldn't bring myself to believe it so for 'piece of mind' Razz I buy QED as minimum.

I'm sure it doesn't matter at all though!

for a simple satellite receiver use the one that came with the box. unless your picture breaks down and you get glitches, you won't need an expensive cable. the cheap one will do.

if you want peace of mind, spend money, if you just want a good picture, use the one they supplied Smile

if you want one of the best hdmi cables out there, check out atlona. but it will cost more than the sat receiver Big Grin
