Kraftwerk - The Catalogue finally released next month

Posted by: Chief Chirpa on 01 September 2009

Just in case anyone's missed this, Kraftwerk are finally set to give a full release to the final remastered versions of their classic albums on 5th October. From Autobahn onwards, complete with revised / extra artwork:

Available as an eight cd box set as The Catalogue (previously only available as a first attempt on promo a few years ago), individual cds or individual vinyl, they're now showing on Amazon.

There's a press release with some more info here. Their earlier albums are apparently getting the same treatment too - hopefully it won't be another five years before they show up.

Essential really.

Thanks for the heads up CC. I like the sound of the box set, even though I have the first 5 albums already.

Loads! But I'm working on it. Winker

Munch, fear not - Ralf has recently promised that 1 and 2, and Ralf und Florian, are also on the way.

Hopefully, he can find enough time in between 200km bike rides to get to it.

Mark, The Catalogue box set looks a good buy - no price yet, but the German version is only 85 euros on amazon.de. The first side of Electric Cafe (given its original title of Techno Pop) is awesome; The Mix has a great faster version of Computer Love, with other tracks not unlike the current live versions; and Tour de France (Soundtracks) has the original Tour de France.

Like I said, essential.

MMMmmm Cool

No prices up yet for the vinyl albums, but the German language versions on amazon.de are 18-20 euros each.

I kind of want the vinyl versions, and the box set of cds in German - and I haven't even got my own record player any more.

Funny I only have 4 too. Autobahn, TEE, MM & T De F. TEE is on CD though.
