I think I will start this one. Anyone seen the trailer yet? What d' ya think?
From the 2 mins, I saw too many CGI. Do not know if it is all like this or not!
Any takers?

Our Mat always said "A good trailer has to be pulled by something substantial"

And they're the pretty ones !!!

He could use a real gorilla and cast actors of restricted height - Tom Cruise for example.

or a gorilla of a restricted height and large hobbits?

On a small screen it looked ok to me. Quite fantastic in fact. I think the problem is that we know that a 50 foot ape is just not possible so the brain can't accept it very easliy. I suspect that with today's technology most folk would accept a CGI gorilla done in normal size. Also it's unlikely that Peter Jackson's going to show us the fully processed Kong at the moment.

Let's hope so!

A freind of mine said he thought Ang Lee's 'Hulk' looked rubbish because the images of a 10 foot high green monster bouncing over the rooftops and throwing tanks didn't look realistic. I asked him how many real ones he'd actually seen.

I've never understood why Darwin had to go to the Galapagos islands to prove the link between man and ape. He just needed to go to Wigan.
