No repeat this week (something to do with an election....). But you can apparently listen again on the web (and in 5.1 surround sound, or all things).
Must say, wasn't altogether bowled over by it. I think these adaptations have (particularly the life the universe and everything one) have followed the books to slavishly.

Tam

Yeah, I'm in a bit of a tv quandry myself at the moment, in wether to watch Liverpool V Chelsea live in 15 minutes time, or the latest Jackson trial re-enactment´? Fuck it, I can watch silly old football games any old time, innit.

The film opens this week in Oz, made in the UK and very authentic. A high class effort, but perhaps too much attempted.
They should always leave one wanting sequals and prequals.

Are they going to repeat the TV version AT ALL on digital? I loved it the last time I saw it (in 1987, at 12 years old) and I'm really gutted I only found out it was on telly this morning (cheers, Wogan!!!)

The whole lot is on Paramount Comedy; can't remember when but it was in the Radio times for this week or next week. I didn't pay much attention as I have it on DVD.

I believe in the Australian version the name has been changed to Holden Monaro.

Some nice touuches in the movie for the fans;
Look for the metal robot in the queuing scene
The face at the end
The character who plays the Magarathean answerphone
I'm sure I missed some others.
Oh, and you MUST stay till the very end! We were the only people in the cinema who caught the credits!
Stephen
I only wish Stephen Moore had played marvin; Rickman would have played a better book. Trillian was great!
