NAC 52

Posted by: Mick P on 19 October 2001

Gentlemen

I have just taken delivery of a NAC 52 to replace the 82 and I will give you a run down of its performance in a few days when it has had chance to warm up. Its been connected up for just over an hour and it sounds a bit flat at present but that is to be expected.

I promise not to bore you too much by waxing lyrical.

Regards

Mick

Yes

I believe he also muttered beneath his breath

"Old birds are harder to stuff"

This explains the 52's relapse.

Oi! Barrington Pheloung's music for Morse is wonderful. He's one of the finest composers of our age IMHO. His music for Hilary & Jackie is just superb.

Mick Parry did it, by the way

I thought Mick Parry was it, by the way.

Stephen, I must agree that Barrington Pheloung is a genius. This is somewhat at odds with Mick's penchant for Sarah Brightman. Mick is indeed an enigmatic chap.

Bob

There is nothing wrong with Miss Brightman, she has a vocal range which is all but unsurpassed.

Just buy a CD and listen to that gorgeous and melodic voice which oozes sensuality from every octave.

She is quite simply the best.

Chaps

I have just spent a few hours playing some music on the 10 week old NAC 52 and the 18 week old CDS11. Tonight was one of those rare occassions when I could sit down without someone or the phone interupting me.

It is sounding better than ever and so the myth of slow improvement seems to be true.

I will not ramble on but you do need the CDS11 and 52 to really get the best out of your CD's.

I played some of it on my 32.5/140 set up and although good, it's not in the same league.

If you are serious about music, you have to go up this route. You really do.

Mick,
I assume that we'll be able to substitute '32.5/140' in the above post for 'CDSII/52' when the new kit comes out. wink

Cheers
