It's out in March, other than that Naim are being characteristically late and quiet on the matter. Though if you look at a few recent threads you'll see there are mutterings that it might be about to make an appearance. Again.

Oh Rich,
I think there is a small army of them in Salisbury awaiting a final code install that will give them the directive to take over the world.
Olive 2? What the hell, man.

small companies havent the ability to release too many new products, they should make a statement to customers and dealers

In the latest dealer newsletter from Naim received 29/07, we have been advised and have a picture to prove that the Qute is definitely now in production (approx. 650 of them are shown in the photo). But I was also advised by Naim HQ on the same day that there was a delay due to a minor software bug affecting the iRadio operation and that the long awaited Qute will commence shipping soon after the factory shutdown (which is this current week).
So we will be seeing them very soon indeed. And about time too. I have had a customer's order for one since February and an ever growing queue of interested parties waiting patiently for a demo. Then the fun begins...

Guys,
Why o why, do they not learn! It doesn't seem long ago, i was going through the same thing (along with many others) waiting for the DAC. I find it amazing that any self respecting company would continually put themselves (and their customers) through this with each new product launch.
Yes we all know that the products are good, and i accept that now and again, situations beyond their control, will cause a delay. It is just now the norm, that when a launch date is given, if a period of 3 months is added, you end up with a realistic date.
Where's me vino!
Regards
Justin

I agree, all these issues should be ironed out with production as part of production before any announcement. A release date is such as that, whether its the Unitiqute, DAC etc, etc. The frustrating thing is there is no info on the website,no update, nothing. I called the importer for a possible update and really its not their problem.
I totally understand why the reasons why these things happen, but consumers base their purchases on info.I know people have placed orders and deposits since February. Then a price increase, plus several delays. I have been quoted 3 retail prices since February.
I think Naim HQ owes us an explanation, apology or something.
Mark

Trust me Manu I was NOT referring to you. I have always been more than pleased your replies.
You gave me one price, you can contact me if you want the rest of the details.

Fear not, you are not alone.
I can drive to Salisbury in an hour, but my local dealer here has not seen one yet!
Mine was ordered in April and I am sure it will have been worth the wait when it arrives. I can't begin to imagine how many have been pre-ordered/sold.
I can say that I am grateful that they waited to ensure that the software was right (as far as that is ever possible) before it was released.
Hope you get to see one soon.
Regards
Peter

Peter RN - depending on which direction you're an hour from Salisbury, it might be helpful that Movement Audio in Poole have a demo model as of last Friday.

We have received them on Monday in Canada, they are already all on their way to dealers.
If you have pre-ordered one, you should have it soon. If not, most dealers will have one on demo.
