about munch

Posted by: mikeeschman on 01 August 2009

i don't expect this to get posted. I really just wanted the moderator of the forum to know how I feel.

For the years I have been on the forum, Munch has always been there. It's obvious he loves the forum, by the number of posts.

I don't understand why he wants to bail, other than speculating that his emotions are out of sync with what it is possible to do on any forum.

If he lived around me, I would take him out for beer, vodka and boiled shrimp, and get his head straight, so he could view this forum in proper perspective. Unfortunately, an ocean separates us.

So as a moderator, don't be upset that I will miss him.

I'm an old guy, and it upsets me to lose a familiar face.

I'm still an active Naimer, and in November I will still do my power amp upgrade.

But I will miss Munch.

I think it's a classic case of cutting off your nose, to spite your face.

Bye Munch, for the time being ...

I'll reiterate what Mike said, only I'm not stretching to any fancy seafood, just beer and maybe some nuts.
Posted on: 01 August 2009 by mikeeschman
hey Mat, here in New Orleans the nuts would be more expensive than the shrimp :-)

Mike

If you look through his later posts, you'll see he was being particularly irritated by one poster. Never met Munch, but he seemed to be a good guy.

Stu is a good friend and a forum legend. I am sure he will be back, sooner or later. Smile

Here's hoping you are right. Can you talk to him?

Munch, enjoy the break!

It could be a case of active SL2 syndrome Cool

I'm not really sure what has happened but I hope he will be back.

It's funny blogworld. I think everybody is a bit more fruity with their opinions than they would be whilst sat in the pub.

People are bound to get brassed off from time to time...I'm sure the last thing anybody would want to do would be to seriously p somebody off or insult them. As I said to Adam, "Bignose, it's a lovely little village you've got here".

Come back Munch, life's short and all we've really got is time, and mates to share it with.

I hope munch is just taking a sabbatical, we all need one once in a while.

His style of posting is more appropriate to Twitter.

As Kinky Friedman said, everything's appropriate if you've got the intellect to see it. Well more or less what he said, but hey, you get the drift mate.

To be even-handed, this is the second time ( that I'm aware of ) that Stu has announced his retirement; possible Gary Glitter Another Retirement Syndrome?

Hope so :-)

But 555, you need to know that no one in New Orleans ever jokes about food. It's too good here.

Where I live there's a similar attitude to football, but usually because it's so bad.

I do not miss the posts riddled with homophones.

An amazing transformation from School Captain to Saint in three days.
