about munch

i don't expect this to get posted. I really just wanted the moderator of the forum to know how I feel.

For the years I have been on the forum, Munch has always been there. It's obvious he loves the forum, by the number of posts.

I don't understand why he wants to bail, other than speculating that his emotions are out of sync with what it is possible to do on any forum.

If he lived around me, I would take him out for beer, vodka and boiled shrimp, and get his head straight, so he could view this forum in proper perspective. Unfortunately, an ocean separates us.

So as a moderator, don't be upset that I will miss him.

I'm an old guy, and it upsets me to lose a familiar face.

I'm still an active Naimer, and in November I will still do my power amp upgrade.

But I will miss Munch.

I think it's a classic case of cutting off your nose, to spite your face.

Bye Munch, for the time being ...

I spoke with Stu earlier and im sure he wont mind me saying that the reason for him leaving the forum was "i dont like the way its going"
which to be perfectly honest i can totally understand.
If you want my opinion i reckon he will return in his own time.at least i hope so.
Scotty.

... then I read your puerile and uncalled-for comment:

A case of forum troll Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome?

You explained your reasons, no need to be insulting.

Not intended as an insult.
As balance had not occurred to you for my reasoning IMO a fair question.

No; I simply asked why the post - you explained - then insulted. You had no need to insult.

Yes I know, I was part of it, I know my profile says joined 2005 but I have been here much longer under different names.

Not according to the Naim forum website.

I'm afraid you have lost me. You had no need to insult me.

Not pointed to anyone here. Just general statement.
This is nuts!
A dysfunctional group we are.

If Munch wants to go, let him go in peace. If there be a one or a few that instigated this?
You know who you are. Just don't try it on others. As they may not give up so,easily.

No insults here, but I find it hard to see anything generous in the statement

"I posted an edited version here to provide some balance. As you need to ask I assume that's a concept you are not comfortable with?"

No further questions, M'Lud.

Why on earth somebody should keep and publish a copy of a deleted thread is beyond me, by the way. If the Mods have nuked it, their decision should be respected.

Do you have some kind of axe to grind with Stu? Just wondering, I've not really been here much recently and there doers seem to be a change in tone, if thats the right word.

You seriously claim no insult intended to me Mike? Roll Eyes

Way before my time, all that. I shall forever regret not being aware of this place any earlier than I was Frown

This is worse than the way children behave - they stick their fingers in their ears, stick their tongues out, and go nerdy nerdy plop plop.

Get a grip for goodness sake.

Never mind deleting other threads, this rubbish is making the forum look ridiculous.

Perhaps someone will insult me and I'll go off in a huff too. Seems to be all the rage.

I declare that you are nothing but a ravenous fish!

The way the forum has gone in the last fortnight, has left me no longer wishing to contribute.

I hope things get better soon.

But if not then I expect quite a few familiar posters will become less keen to continue.

That is what I call a plan.

Best wishes from George

This thread is plumbing the depths....how can grown men be so childish? Good God it's not even really venomous and spiteful but more like handbags at dawn. Contribute something positive or move on.

Time to kill this thread for the same reason you killed the original one Richard - it serves no purpose.

Just IMO.
EX,If i was to tell a joke about a Po*f or a L**bo or a Ni**er C**n or even a P*ki it would be gone in a FLASH.
Next it will be Jews in oven jokes. Its not funny.
But its ok to tell jokes about Children in this way.
And a dead man.
Wrong .
Adam would of killed this long ago.
If this is how this place is going?
Take me off for ever please? and through away the key.
Stu

I can’t believe you reported Munch’s post. I for one totally agree with it and find it in no way offensive.

Still if had the effect of getting the Jackson thread deleted. Well done.
