If anyone else uses one of these, I've just noticed that the Dec 05 Firmware update (ver 1.29J) includes a video player, but not on the EU update, and it isn't on the latest 1.30 update.
So if like me you missed it, just go into the website and make the appropriate download, then you've got a mobile video player as well as what is still probably the best HDD music player around.
