HD audio decodign and AV2

I saw an interesting piece of kit today:

I guess the quality is low, but it got me wondering if there was a better quality solution available so I decode PCM/HD audio from my PS3 and into my AV2.
I know I could do with a Bluray player with 5.1/7.1 outs.
