Dear All,

i heard this young lady interviewed on radio 2 recently.

She sounded fun and sang well.

In Virgin the other day, and her new album is £7.99 . So OF Course I Had To Have It, In Fact I Ordered Two.

Anyway played it this evening.

Mike Batt discovered her and is her mentor.

Listening to the album boy does it show.

Her voice is way ahead of the production of this album and her personality seems to have been lost in the process. Certainly the personality expressed on the radio is not present in the performance on the album.

The two best tracks on the album were written by her. Most of the rest was written by mike batt and i do not feel offered her the material to show her to her best. Out of the mike batt songs the best is the closest thing to crazy. Trouble is is i feel that the production really did not allow her to sing the song as i feel she would have wanted to.

So overall worth the 8 quid but not a great album due to the way that the album has been produced.

Shame.

I look forward to her next album where she hopefully will have a much greater say over the material and the production.

regards david

You been listening to 'Golf Girl' again?

What's the style of this here chanteuse, David?

Finally got the (A Date With) Ben Vaughn today - worth it for the last track alone.

Bloody marvellous!
