So my local dealer described the DC1 to me as a digital version of the hi-line, but then went onto say I'd be better spending my money on a Chord Signature coax for the same money..
Anyone got any views on an of those statements?

I have both. I prefer the Chord (Indigo Plus) but it's down to your ears and preferences. The dealer should you to do a home A/B. DC1 is not bad at all. I find the Chord more open and for want of a better word, colourful, the DC1 being more grippy and fast. But I'm splitting a fractional difference here. I don't think you'll be disappointed with either and the Chord is somewhat more expensive.
