Can I find the real name of a seller on eBay?

Someone I know has bought something via eBay. The money was paid by transfer without the name of the account holder being given. The article is defective. The seller doesn't respond to emails.

Any way of getting the real name from eBay?

Alternatively, any way of finding the real name behind the email address?

Can't help, I'm afraid. But this does highlight the danger of playing by transfers. I only buy off ebay when I can pay via paypal (or on collection), since those are the safest options.
