Czardas

I heard some wonderful violin music recently described as Czardas, gypsy music at a live recital.
I am hoping that some of our music experts can give some recommendations of this type of music please.

Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsodies. It's great stuff, try Roberto Szidon on Deutsche Gramophone.

Brahms' Zigeunerlieder is all about gypsy music and mentions 'das Czardas melodie'... Though it's a vocal work, I think written for a few soloists.

Thanks to you all for the recommendations.

I have ordered the Naxos Csardas as a start.
