Last night I discovered a lurid green CD 'hoop' around the edge of an old David Sylvian disc, which I vaguely recall was from Audio Technica in the eighties..
Throwing this alternately on other discs and into my CDX produced an increase in bass definition from my otherwise boomy Arcs. Go on, search out those old forgotten 'upgrades' and have a laugh!
P.S.thanks to whoever it was who pointed me towards the correct thread recently re: RA's 'Hi Cap upgrades', I understand he's working on a PSX replacement too.
