Canton speakers

Hi All
I took part in a student exchange in Germany while studying electronics and was taken on a tour of the Canton loudspeaker factory where we oversaw the manufacturing processes and listened to the final products.
From what I can remember (approx 7 years ago) we listened to three sets of speakers, two standmounting and one freestanding, the latter sounding stunningly good. I am fairly sure the source was a DAT machine or something similar but have no idea what the amplification could have been.
Has anyone out there any experience of these speakers ?, do you know in which price bracket they fall?, are they still made ?, etc.
