The BBC are starting Folk Britannia this Friday (a month of folk music - old and new0, which should be worth tuning into. Details here

Thanks ROTF - I had it well marked in my Radio Times. I've played the videos from your link - great stuff from Martin Carthy and Richard Thompson in particular, for me.

I've seen a trailer for the prog on the Beeb, and it sounded like Davy Graham's original version of 'Angie' being played.

Unmissable.

Glad you liked the videos. I really like Martin Carthy and Richard Thompson, and, of course, almost anything and everything Shirley Collins does/did.

However, I didn't know about Karine Polwart until I read about her on the BBC site. I've now bought her Faultlines album and it is superb.

I'll be listening intently for more gems.
