I cannot give a technical answer because I am not qualified to do so.

However, I own a 250 which cools down when used and my 140 in another system also does the same.

This seems to produce no ill effects and I have seen this facet mentioned before. I am not worried because the 140 is about 6 yrs old and is going great guns.

My 140 also gets warm when hanging around....but slightly different question, how do you open the new cases up? On an old 110 I remember it being easy as can be. Last night I dutifully un-wound all three allen screws on my new case 140 and nothing would budge.

Any ideas?

....the answer lies in the screws in the centre of the 4 rubber feet. Remove them and you're in business.
