System status?

Posted by: Brando on 04 April 2010

Hello,

Since I have installed new software on HDX I can't get the system status information. When I press the button it just runs a couple of seconds and then gets back to main screen.

I need those data in order to connect it to the internet correctly.

The other problem is that it won't download the disc info while ripping CD but HDX can be recognized by the desktop client and I can control it via PC.

Do you know what may be the problem?

Thanks!

Sounds like a network issue - how is your HDX configured?DHCP? Static IP?

I can't see the system status on the HDX device, not on the computer. It used to work just fine before the update.

I am not sure if it is DHCP or static, but if I wanted to get the system status on the device I think that it doesn't really matter.

Are you able to see the system details from Desktop Client (and is the HDX found more to the point)? (Tools Tab->System status)

See if Internet Accessable is True.

Also what is:

Host Address
Subnet Mask
DNS Server
Default Gateways

And do these releate to your network settings?

It is the same problem, AV@Naim. I can't see those data. I wanted to see for myself if those relate to my network settings.

I would suggest using the SETIP Tool to set your unit to DHCP mode (again possibly) and then seeing if it works ok. I suspect one of your network settings is not correct

It can be found here if required:

HDX section -> SetIP Tool Download

Thanks! I will try that and post the results!

But I will probably look for the assistance form my dealer too.
