Cropredy Festival 2007

I am a recent convert to Fairport/Richard Thompson.

So should I go? Should I take the wife? Should I take the kids? What's it like?

Go by all means, I've never been but hear, like Cambridge, Womad etc.. it's a pleasant, child-friendly, festival. Fairport these days, however, bear no resemblance to classic Thompson/Denny era. They are more a real ale, good-time, festival sort of band, which is absolutely fine if that floats your boat.
