Big Brother - again

That certain individuals should wish to flaunt themselves for the chance of big money is understandable.
That millions want to watch these idiots sitting around, talking bollocks, is the bit I don't get.
And............... what really annoys me, is that the result of this utter nonsense makes the national news.
Eh?
John.

Big Brother has gone steadily downhill since the series first began. This year IMHO it has reached rock bottom. Contestants have reached the all time low in using foul and abusive language combined with nudity to make headlines in the papers. Channel 4 should have a serious think and I for one would be glad if the series was axed.

The 'games' BB played were very good. Unfortunately they chose mostly obnoxious me-me-me non-team wannabees (by definition).
Interesting though that 'phoning-public chose as top 2 the 2 most altruistic individuals ... I am convinced that public would be happier to see House with nice people all being kind/discussing philosophy-music-cricket, even audio ...
Thunderclap Newman theme-tune/Eugene/Science were best bits for my wife & for me. Worst bits were the bullies/blokes dressing up as women/women acting as blokes.

Isn't most TV bollocks? That millions watch TV every evening is the bit I don't get.

Peter;
You just have to be selective. The 'Radio Times' is essential to get the necessary programme info. All the other TV guides are crap by comparison.
I enjoy good films/drama, quality documentaries and very little (so called) comedy.
'Extras' is currently doing it for me. Anyone else?

Agreed regarding the Radio Times. If I'm too late to get it I don't bother with any other TV guide.
Extras does it for me too. (Only caught the final 10 minutes last episode though). I enjoyed the Proms last night, but I wish Radio 3 and BBC2 could be better synchronised. I reckon R3 was about 1/2 second in front - very wierd. I ended up listening through the DVD player instead.
Sure, most TV is bollocks but then I wouldn't want to spend hours every evening sitting in front of the thing anyway.

Extras is indeed brilliant, still trying to uncurl my toes after Thursday’s episode. I like Smoking Room a lot as well, but I never quite know when it’s on so I often miss it. Maybe I should try Radio Times sometime.
To me, most TV is wasted listening and/or reading time.

why are you even discussing 'Big Brother' at all - surely this is a paradox?
