I just thought I would tell you all that I added a Napsc to my 102 preamp this weekend and what an improvement especially in the infra bass area which was immediately apparent though not in actual bass weight but rather in extra octaves. I have waited quite sometime to find out what it might do in my system and it seems it was definitely worth waiting for. I intend to leave it in place for a day or two and then take it out for I find that by far the best way to audition anything I do because changes sometimes are not improvements and I find in general going back tells you more that going foreword. Tuning/tweaking tip of the week? Any thoughts on where I might expect further improvements?

I agree that going back after going forward helps you realize the improvements. Tho when I got my Fraim I certainly did not go back to the Sound Org. Too much hassle.
When I bought my system it was an A/B comparison with a Roksan Caspian system in my price range (much too brittle) that sold me on the silky smooth and dynamic Naim. More money to be sure, but half of it was second hand gear being upgraded and I thank my dealer for that compassion and help. Tho I had to set it all up myself.
Now I want to turn a friend onto Naim as he is intrigued so I'm going to tell him to bring his system over to my place and do the A/B, we'll see if he bites. gosh, he just dropped his girlfriend so he should be swimming in cash now.

Sorry about the delay but listening had to take a back seat for a day or two but for those interested here are my thoughts. More detail in all spectrums especially infra bass area. More space around performers, largewr sound stage and yes the inky space even more black! I am astounded by the improvement and In general well worth the expence infact I should have done it before!
