Has anybody heard his album? I heard some of his stuff on the radio today and it sounded pretty good. Is the album worth buying?

I bought it last week. I think it's good and will be giving it plenty of spins.
Production and recording quality are very good.
Relaxing stuff....

Thanks Graham. I've already ordered it. Now and again I get a good feeling about somebody and that happened with him. Hopefully the CD will be worth it.

Yes Newton Faulkner, he's amazing!! I discovered this guy about a year ago from a friend. He's been on tour with Donovan Frankenreiter (Jack Johnson's buddy), Paulo Nutini and James Morrison (yet ironically, in my opinion, he is far superior in talent especially on guitar!!)
I would highly recommend this album, with singles "Dream Catch Me" and "I Need Something", plus a beautiful cover of Massive Attack's "Tear Drop". I think anyone on the forum would enjoy it especially if you like acoustic guitar, rhythmic playing and beautiful, mellow melodies. He is really gifted on the guitar and uses the whole instrument when playing - I'm going to see him live in Norwich and I can't wait!!
Sounds pretty good production wise on my dad's naim system, but the singles are slightly over-produced - they've put a horrid drum beat on and I much preferred the EP version which was just acoustic!
Overall though - he's great!

I just found out he's number one in the album charts at the moment. Not exactly the unknown gem I thought I'd discovered! Shows how out of touch I've become.

Yes I know Tom, isn't it annoying?! I always find out about these people too and then about a year later Jo Whiley will play a song and claim the artist to be her "new discovery" !! Funny!
