BBC Internet Radio / UPNP Connectivity problems with Uniti

If anyone can help on a couple of problems I would really appreciate it.

1. BBC internet radio always cuts out within 60 minutes of listening. It doesn't matter which station R2, R3, R4 all suffer in the same way. One minute the buffer level is showing maximum and the next the bars are all hollow and no signal. One minute the buffer level is showing maximum and the next the bars are all hollow and no signal. I can switch immediately to another (non BBC) station without problem !!Listening to other stations from countries such as Holland, USA, Canada,Russia and Hungary presents no problem and they will run for 24 hours or more.

2.Switching from any Uniti input to UPNP invariably results in a quick 2 second flash on the screen which says "Please Wait, Input Intialising". After a couple of seconds the screen switches to "Searching" and then, around a minute or so later "No Server". Rebooting the Uniti cures the problem and the server is always found.

I have an O2 router, which is ethernet wired to the Uniti.
Spoke to Naim today and they could not put their finger on the problem but to be fair to them their response was excellent and they are looking into it.
Their initial diagnosis suggested the fault could be with my router settings and I have tried different configurations but without success.

I think that maybe the O2 router is at fault here. I had all sorts of issues with netgear and belkin routers, you know the cheapo ones from PC world. I finally changed to a apple timecapsule with built in router and all the streaming issues disappeared. By the way I use the unity in wireless mode.

my NAS was network wired (over Aztech powerline network power plug) and stream to my NaimUniti (in wireless mode) over a linksys wireless router. I can pause, skip, stop, play Songs with no connection issues from the router.

Try another router to confirm your concern.

Good luck.

Many thanks Vandergraafuk and Huan for your good comments and advice.
You were 100% correct. While researching the Apple Time Capsule I realised that I should at least try my Apple Airport Express (wireless connection).I never even thought to do this before (brain dead, thinking that a wired connection would always be superior to wireless), until I saw Huans' comment.
Anyway both problems have disappeared (even though the Apple Airport Express is connected via the O2 router / ADSL) although it still intrigues me why the radio problem was confined exclusively to the BBC !!
Apple Airport Express is a relatively inexpensive router alternative with the added bonus of iPhone connectivity of iTunes via Remote App.
