Jason Molina - Songs Ohia

Has anyone heard JMs new solo album Pyramid electric company - it gets a mediochre review on Amazon and is only available in quaint black plastic format.

Otherwise, after "Magnolia" which I have and enjoy, which are the other essential Songs Ohia albums

Alex, I can't help you with a comparison between Songs: Ohia and Sophia, having never heard the former, but I can tell you about the latter. I have all their records, but despite this am not 100% convinced by them. You sorta have to be in the mood - the lyrics ain't subtle and sometimes come across as a bit 6th form poetry. Have you got any God Machine output? If so, Sophia are probably most easily described as God Machine go country.
