Importing CDs

Posted by: Timbo on 28 January 2003

Can anyone help me find a web site, or know of a company who can import German cds. They are not specialist, just ones that are on general release over there that I want to purchase from over here. Artists include No Angels, Jeanette, The Flames.

Cheers for any help

Tim,

have you tried Amazon.de?

I had a quick look and found Jeanette. Don't know if she can sing but what a babe!!!!!

Thank you very much. I tried Amazon.de - got everything I wanted but when it came to checkout time there were no options to ship to UK. My friend has since told me to look around the site a bit as he is sure all Amazon distributers interact, certainly throughout Europe.

Yeah - Jeanette is quite tasty, have actually seen her in real life, I think when she was shooting the Rock my life video as the shop in the video is at the bottom of Oranienburger Strasse - a dodgy but interesting part of town.

Hi Tim,

When I read your first post it sounded like you were looking for a wholesaler.

Yes, amazon.de is the obvious options. Apparently they do ship to other countries as they mention shipping rates here (4.31 euros per shipment plus 0.86 per item for the UK).

Another good place to shop is Zweitausendeins (= 2001). They don't have a large selection but you get great deals on a lot of classic rock, jazz and classical CDs. They don't seem to have No Angels or Jeannette, but to be honest, I can't blame them ;-)

Just had a go at Amazon.de - I don't speak a word of German but the system took my UK signon OK and I've stumbled my way thru the system and hope some CDs will appear in the next few weeks.
