Flying with shaving cream
Posted by: David McN on 18 June 2007
I am looking for shaving cream sold in small quantities of some description which will fit the requirements of the re-sealable transparent plastic bag which you need when passing trough security before bording your flight. You can get small phials of shaving oil but I do not like the stuff. Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks, David

Try King of Shaves, you will never use any other product once you have tried their shaving gel.

Snap just the site I was going to post.
TIP collect the small bottles of shower gel and shampoo that they give you in hotels and refill them with your own stuff.

You can buy what you whatever you like after you've been through security. I'm not sure about them allowing you on board with a razor blade though.

Try www.mankind.co.uk, excellent service. See http://www.mankind.co.uk/SubGroups.asp?objecttradersearch=1&GroupID=654 for all shaving products and you might want to look at http://www.mankind.co.uk/ProductDetails.asp?ProductID=21514 as it is already in its 100ml bottle. Oh and they have a forum if you get bored with music

Pack them in your suitcase not in your hand luggage.

All sounds a bit Mile High Club for me but best be prepared for every eventuality.

Gillette used to do a shave gell that came as free-flowing (eg not pressurised in a can) that worked very well.
Re containers - suggest a trip to a Muji store. They sell many different containers that may help.

I tend to fly two or three times a year (that's four to six flights) and my pressurized aerosol shaving foams/antiperspirants have never leaked onto my clothes in my suitecase. It is worthwhile putting them in a plastic bag and tying a knot just in case.

Log entries in the central antiterrorism database
- june 29 international flight. added ID657.083 to database. score +2 for attempt to carry a pressurized can onto the plane.
Claims content is shaving cream. Unconfirmed.
- june 29 internal flight. ID657.083 score +5 attempt to bring razor blades onto the plane. Given previous score, add +2.
- june 1 internal flight. ID657.083 score +2 bearded look. Given existing score, add 2 extra.
- july 3nd internal flight. ID657.083 score +3 bearded look, possible arab traits. score +3 acts nervous.
- july 6th international flight. ID657.083 score +4 Full beard. Score +5 acts suspicious. given the high cumulative score taken into preventive custody and transported abroad to Larkhill.
- july 26th. ID657.083 full confessions prove the effectiveness of the system. Added wife to watchlist.
- july 27th. Closing notes on ID657.083.
Decisive factor for confession may have been the electronics of the nearby audio company that carry across the emotions of the screams so very well.
Recommend taking into consideration generalizing usage, after safety check for arab links because of the company name.
Note that the productline has a loudspeaker called Ali.
