Tried to get tickets, but like the other 410,000 I missed out. Glad it was so popular though and I am pleased I saved the £100+ to get there.

Will enjoy the match on Sky and as a Skins supporter of many years standing hope the Dolphins win at last.

It is one of things in life I would like to do is go and see a NFL game and also a Baseball game to see what the fuss is about.

Same for me about cricket. It's maybe nice to play but man is it terrible to watch.

Gulp - Cricket is marvellous game to watch - much better than our local sport - please check out here or see it here - sure beats Skiing as a sport.

there was a feature article in today's l.a. times about this - english nfl fans. they intereviewed an englshwoman who is a big dolphins fan, who goes over to miami for a game every winter. i guess she's quite excited to have tix to see them in england. i would provide a link, but too lazy today. interestingly, russell crowe did a plug on "monday night football" last week. that's become part of that t.v. show - celebrities in attendance are interviewed in the sportscasters' booth, to plug their movie or whatever. sorry to say russell didn't beat anybody up, but he does own a rugby team, and said rugby was "real football."

In my opinion, you aren't missing much. American style football is too regimented for my tastes. If you're a lineman, you can never score a touchdown, if you are a receiver, you mostly block and occasionally get a pass. The only one who gets to have fun are the quarterbacks and the coaches who get to run the show. Running backs usually have bad knees and cannot walk after the age of 40.

For all that, I still follow it, though watching the games has become a bore. To many broken plays, interceptions, failed drives in the red zone and generally poorly skilled if highly athletic style of play.

European style football (we call it soccer) is altogether more rewarding from a spectators and players point of view. Everybody gets to touch the ball, fewer players and a wide open field lend for an exciting and pleasing sense of flow. The players can pretty much make it up as they go without regimented play calls from the coaches.

Best sport of all, in my opinion, was invented by the Canadians and is called NHL Hockey. Great fun to play or watch, fast, exciting, lots of bone crushing contact but with few injuries and a great deal of skill involved. Also, the whistle does not blow to stop play every 10 frigging seconds.

For once Russell Crowe is correct. Rugby League is the greatest game.
Never been keen on the team he owns though - South Sydney Rabbitohs

Played it, loved it, don't like watching. I find it to be like football and ok American football and rugby union - a better game to play than to watch

Guess you don't remember Bobby Orr then.

I started to watch match highlights on cable many years ago. Then I tried to watch a live game on cable and had no idea how long it really takes when there is no editing.

I went off and did something else for the four hours...
