connecting cd 3.5 to NAC 72

Help please. I've just purchased a NAC 72 [1990 model]without a dedicated cd Din socket I was advised to use the tuner circuit[ which works ] however after reading information about board pulling to improve the sound I'm now confused,I have removed the following boards:- 2 x 322[phono], 2 x 324 [tape loop]the info says to remove the 2 x 328 boards on the Aux circuit and replace them with 326 link boards, this will clean up the sound BIG TIME, however the Aux is fitted with 2 x BNC sockets I understand adaptors are available to convert them to RCA. THE BIG QUESTION Big Grin has anyone carried out/ modified the cd circuit as above using the Aux BNC circuit and fitting the 326 boards, was there any improvement/benefit gained than using the tuner circuit. Hopefully someone will help me to decide Eek

Thank you

Regards

Robin,

I won't be able to answer all your questions. I'm running a cd 3.5 into my 72 but can't advise you on the board pulling since I have two turntables, the 3.5, a tape deck and cd burner all tied-in to my 72.

I have my 3.5 going into the tuner input. For what that is worth. I suppose it should be obvious that for this to work, whatever boards are needed must be in the 72.
