Hiface Kernel Streaming with Mediamonkey

Posted by: sbilotta on 15 May 2010

Hi,
I am trying to configure Hiface to work with Mediamonkey via Kernel Streaming: I have downloaded the plugin and MM sees it in its Output Plugins, but no output device is available for configuration.
I know that I have installed the Hiface drivers well as I have already configured it for Foobar (output device available).

Has anybody already gone through this ?

Many thanks
Stefano

Hi Patrick,
I may have Smile

I am just waiting to try it with my nDAC and 555PS, arriving today Cool Big Grin

I was going to post my findings once I had "sonic" confirmation.

Will let you know in a day or so.

For who may be interested, taken what I have written above, the "workaround" is as follows: in the Output Device window, even though nothing is visible, and therefore apparently empty, in reality the devices are there but invisible. So there are two lines/slots in the output device window that can be chosen/highlighted when the hiface device is plugged in and drivers installed: choose the second. Then click OK.

That's it, and MediaMonkey's digital output is in Kernel Streaming. The exact same applies to Winamp, as the ks driver is the same.

Ciao
