Beatles USB stick and HDX

It has just been announced that the Beatles stereo remasters will be released on a USB stick in December, in 24-bit:

"The product will have a specifically designed Flash interface that uses 16GB of capacity to provide the audio in both lossless FLAC 44.1 Khz 24-bit and MP3 320KBps formats."

I'm not all that knowledgeable about digital file formats. Are the high-def files going to work through the HDX USB connection, just plug and play?

Yes, but you will need to browse and select the 24bit versions of the album to play...(home page, browse music, select location, USB media)

Oh, and just to throw things up in the air - copy the files to a different USB stick and see if you can hear the difference between playback from the 2... Winker

Because EMI won't let them ... apparently!

Fine, happy to do so; but my paranoid self wonders whether there won't be some kind of copy protection lurking in the background...
