Backing up Firefox bookmarks

Anybody know how this is done? By which I mean: where is the bookmarks folder?

Somewhere in the directory structure there is a file called Bookmarks.HTML (could be Bookmark.HTML) location of the file varies from OS to OS.

when Firefox is not active ie shutdown, copy this file to another place. I have copied a copy of my Bookmarks file to three different machines so that I have a more or less a constant set of bookmarks on all the machines as well as putting a copy on my web space so that I can get to my Bookmarks from any machine connected to the web.

I found the file in Mozilla Firefox\defaults\profile. I have looked on the web for the answer to this question but to no avail (at least in language I understand anyway.)

Thanks Derek.

On the menu bar at the top of the page you select
Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > File > Export
and this will backup the bookmarks to a directory and file of your choice.
Now you just write out the bookmark directory to a cd or dvd with all the other things you backup from time to time.

Hope this helps.
