I suspect says quite a lot about the equipment owned by the people on there - I wonder how many people here can take advantage of an SACD?
And anyway, why isn't reel to reel tape an option! [smiley]

Sorry that's not for me - Half Man Half Biscuit albums aren't available on wax cylinder and I understand plans to release them on this format have been put on ice.

My collection has
60% CD
40& Vinyl
I do have two SACDs, but I try to avoid them. I also have two HMHB live albums on VHS.

Don't mock the way cylinder. I recently heard Bruno Walter's 1938 recording of Mahler 9 (the first ever made or that work), or part of it, and the sound was much finer than many a tape effort I have heard from some years later.
The number of SACDs has jumped in my collection lately (since a number of Donald Runnicles' recordings seem to use that format). Fortunately they play fine as CDs in my 5x, so I'm quite happy.

Surely storage of ice cylinders would pose real problems... Fredrik

90% Vinyl
10% CD
Collection is roughly 50/50, about 500 cd's & 500 LP's, but the listening ratio is much higher in favor of Vinyl. If I have a choice, I will always buy a new album as vinyl.
