Virus writers jailed.

What the hell is the world coming to? Will we start jailing people for bad advertising next?

All that effort, but you fail in your analogy. To be accurate, the aliens should introduce the fatigue issues *now* without asking permission of users of the tool.

This could be done by means of...a fatigue-inducing... what shall we call it... virus?

Define "permission" as it exists in the context of an operating system running millions of lines of code.

You carry on with the big words, I'll stick to stating the bleeding obvious.

Nice. What is bleeding obvious to me about your contribution is, I suspect, not the same thing as is bleeding obvious to you.

You have well and truely lost the plot. You are a rambling fool.

Just speed your inevitable demise up.

Get depressed and shoot yourself quick.

Bit drastic I agree, but reading your useless waffle is depressing us.

The self-applied labels are the best ones aren't they, Mick?

Good to see the forum of old returning. If all else fails then insult people or make offensive remarks.

This is why you come on the Forum is it Mike? To wind people up? I'm interested to know why you want to know if you are having an emotional effect on me? I am really interested.

Mike (Tarquin?)

If I have insulted you then it doesn't reflect well on my character. A bad way to handle exasperation.

Please accept my apologies.

As I see it, there are two separate problems here.

Should Microsoft deliver better products (ie more resistant to virus/hacking).

Should virus writers be sent to jail.

The answer to both questions is yes.....although I don't think we'll have much succes with Microsoft.

Why send the virus writers to jail. Punishment for buggering up other people's lives, and as a deterant to others, ie same reasons as for other crimes where large number of people and/or extensive resources are affected.

Cheers
