Not in the least bit surprised, the way I have been using Spotify is to listen to a few tracks of Artists I have seen on here. Never heard an advert yet in 1-2 months of use.

Is it me or are there a few more ads now?

That could be considered a good thing in survivability terms (although I think the subscription service via I-Pod has sealed that, at least for now until Apple buy them off) but most of the ads are for...Spotify!?!? WTF?

Yeah, I haven't used it much lately, but was thinking the same yesterday.

I almost think they're making it more annoying so you pay up - I noticed that the recent ads have even starting calling it "Spodify". Really irritating.

Yes there are. As said above rarely used to get ads, but recently there have been times I have been getting them at the end of the first track.

I find if you skim through an album ads are very few and far between.

A great way to audition music and amazing just how comprehensive it is.

I love this service, find lots of new music on it and its nearly worth the 10 pounds a month for access on my iphone alone

If using Spotify stops you from buying only one crap album a month then your'e breaking even!

If only the musicians were getting paid...

They do when we go and buy their albums. (Which we may not have done if not introduced via Spotty). If we don't like their albums, we don't buy them, they don't get paid. Good incentive to produce quality music I think.
