Datblygu (Obscure welsh band test!)

I remember being completely knocked out by a track (on John Peel's show) by a little known welsh band called Datblygu. They've been on my 'list of things to investigate' for ages. Just wondered if anyone was a fan?!

Hi Nick - I hate seeing a post not replied to - so thought that I'd second your view.Datblygu have been around for years - 10/12 and were Peelie's favourites in the mid nineties. I haven't heard them for a while but if you want more Welsh music , I would recommend - www.thebenjamins.co.uk or www.theafternoons.com - more melodic than Datblygu - I must be getting old .Too much great Welsh music around at the mo - new albums by Melys , Gorkys (compilation), etc.All this and a fantastic football team too!!

For some reason i'm really into this Welsh stuff at the moment, could be because my Dad was born in Barmouth!. I've just picked up some Gorky's, Super Furry Animals and Datblygu CD's - really great stuff. Definately going to take a look at your recommendations.
