Held Lampi Project - 'Digital Dreaming'

I picked up a copy of the said CD on my recent visit to Naim, and it's a real grower.

The splendidly named Zeus B. Held, Jim Lampi (Chapman Stick) and others have created an hypnotic rhythmic aboriginal 'World Music' sound, which is delightfully different.

It's a superb recording with some nice sub-bass. Great to hear something vibrant, fresh and new from Naim.

Details here.

John,

I first came across Jim Lampi many years ago (95/6?)busking on a London Street (near Oxford Circus)and people were spellbound with his playing. I had never heard of a Chapman Stick before then but I bought a CD from him after hearing his first tune. Excellent stuff (except for the singing imo). Since then Ive thought of buying more but never got round to it so perhaps I will now.
