Hendrix Box Set

Does anyone have the vinyl version of this yet?

Has 8 x 180gm LPs, but at £115 would welcome any comments re sound quality, etc before shelling out.

Hi Nigel,

it's available on pre-order from jpc [MusicOnVinyl] (Release date: 13.12.2010) for 107.99 euro's
...Today: 107.99 euro's = £92.40

It's also available from jpc for 74.99 euro's [Sony/Legacy] (Release date: 2.11.2010)
...Today: 74.99 euro's = £64.17

(jpc charge 5.99 euro's for p&p)

The same set on two different record labels ? ~ sorry i can't help you decide.

But if the 'MusicOnVinyl' label happens to be 'MCA', i'll may buy it myself, even if it is more expensive.

Any particular reason Debs?
I've found the Sony/Legacy Hendrix re-issues to be of good quality whereas I sent back my Music On Vinyl copy of Jeff Buckley's Grace because it was so poor.

I've found the Sony/Legacy re-issues to be okay at the price perhaps, but the pressings are clearly not as good (in sound quality) as the more orignial MCA label discs.

I don't know who/what MusicOnVinyl are, if they don't say MCA on the label, they're obviously not.
Earlier this year i purchased the 8 x LP box-set of "jimi hendrix experience" (MCA) and all the pressings sound stunningly good : )

a highly recommended set imho...
