For Sale
Telephone seat, mahogany with storage door and cream cushion, beautiful design and in showroom condition.......... £50
Just saw this ad in our local paper. Once these things were the height of fashion to have in the back passage (oh err missus). Come on admit it, does anyone on the Forum still own one and if so do you still sit on it to take calls.
Photo is sadly not the one in the ad.

Very nice Diccus.
Can you be tempted by some tasteful bedroom furniture in the style of a marble Mausoleum?

Lady in Green(Cineese Lady) by Tretchikoff was of the same ilk/era. We had one of his pictures (print) of an abandoned Orchid on some steps. There was a drop of water on the Orchid and it always fascinated me how any one could paint it so realistically.

This is Lady In Green by Vladimir Tretchikoff

But it is not what Rasher & Diccus are talking about. I remember the picture they mention being in a friends living room in the mid to late 60's. Hmmm...black face, green background, possibly a tear on the face?

I know what the others were talking about,I was just making a point that this guy's work was exceptionally popular in the '60s onwards. He him self said he sold more work than anyone else except Picasso.
Tretchikoff often included a tear.
This is the one we have.
Another icon. Maybe too good for this thread?
